Fourteenth (!) in a series on what's going on at church (if we're paying attention) and third in a series on the scriptures, we take a brief look at the role of the Law given God's people at Sinai. They're coming out of generations of slavery and headed into a new land filled with peoples whose ways they are not supposed to adopt. God's law shows His children how to look like Him - how to bear His family resemblance. The law flows from His character as He commands fairness, justice, mercy, and care for the poor. By living so, they will represent YHVH to the nations (Exodus 19:1-8) and play a crucial role in the Abraplan.
