Peter quotes the prophet Joel to describe the powerful experience 120 Christ followers are having as they are anointed by the Spirit. The prophecy of Joel originally is to a people who've been devastated and left with nothing, told by God that He will bring abundance, joy, and most importantly, His presence into their lives. He makes the same promises to us, offering His Spirit to transform and empower our lives as we follow Jesus.
